Depends on your plans for the kit. HP goals, what you want out of it. I did rear mount first and then went to front mount for better response/ power.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

Well, I haven't been bitten by the HP bug all that bad yet. I'm just looking to make my truck which is a DD a little more powerful. I'm not looking to be a full blown racer just a performance truck. You know just enough to show up some of these little stock rice burners with big exhaust (god I cant stand there sound).

I like the under hood just I think It might get a little hot under there. Also It seems there theres going to be more fab if I put it up there.

Remote looks like a easer build but I'm concerned with water in the air inlet, and loss of boost.

Either way I'm thinking #42 injectors, 255 fuel pump, an inter cooler, and i already have HP tinner software. As for turbo size, blow off, wast gate, or tubbing size I'm not sure of all that yet.

I have a rear mount, but the front mount is most likely better. I just found mine for a great deal. I can drive in the rain and mine is lowered. As long as I dont submerge it im fine

Is your Air filter right on he end of your turbo or did you run it up to higher ground? Any pics of the intake you could show? Ducky
For the most part I'm a builder not a buyer unless less theres a unreal deal on one. I see what people are getting for these manifold kits to do a front mount and it blows my mind. I have been a machinist for 6+ years with several years of schooling behind me and my brother is a welding engineer I know know we can make these manifolds in our shop for pennies compared to what Ive seen.

I know what you mean. I'm a machinist with 28 years behind me and its unbelievable the prices companies charge but there is engineering and design time being recovered in the sales price of these kits. Not everyone has access to the tools to do these right. I work in a shop with 5 axis machines, water jets and robotic welders but can't use any of them on personal projects.

My entire sts kit was 1500. That doesnt include intercooler/meth/transmission that I spent on it
My air filter is right on the end of the turbo. Here is a pic

    hope that helps
