First and foremost, this is not directed toward any one person or persons. The post is being made in response to some complaints the moderators have received about bickering, arguing, and the resulting quality and atmosphere of the site.

After reviewing some posts that became problematic, they share a pretty common thread. The posts typically involve a valid concern or complaint being discussed by the parties involved. The deterioration starts when individuals not directly related to the problem give their two cents. Threads that may have started out as a genuine question or concern quickly turn into a battle of words and wills between the original member posting and everyone else who jumps in to defend or accuse. It's obvious how this can quickly get out of hand.

In an effort to maintain the quality of the site, if you have a concern or complaint with another member, please make an effort to resolve it through P.M.'s or outside of the site. Publicizing an issue with another member on the forum is rarely needed and typically does not result in a positive outcome. If you are having difficulty contacting someone and feel posting in the forum will get their attention, that's understandable and obviously acceptable. Once that contact has been established though, it is preferred and requested that the discussion be continued outside of the public forum. If a discussion or disagreement continues on the forum and it becomes problematic, the thread will be closed and the parties involved will be asked to continue the discussion elsewhere.
