    need CAM GEAR!!!!

hey guys i dont know how but i was reinstalling my cam gear today and it felt really funny putting the bolts in it says to tq them to 26 ft pounds and i couldnt get it over 10!! and i was getting scared something was stripping out so i stopped.we noticed the cam gear wasnt quite on straight probably because i tightened one town to quick or w/e then i noticed after we spun the crank a few times to make sure all the rockers were moving freely etc that there is a crack in the back of the cam gear where the bolt goes through. does anyone have one i can get? my motor is an 02 5.3 and has anyone ever done this before?? or does anyone know if this one would work?

never. I would call it a fluke, buy a new one and move on down the road.

The PN is 12576407 and is $36. I think it went up because they are substituting an LS2 style sprocket for the older style unit now to cut down inventory costs. I run the LS2 sprocket in all my engines.
