    what cam should i get?

ok i have to rebuild my motor and im taking out the stock cam so what should i throw in there

im not spending over 100 bux on it, so i am thinking a ls2 or ls6 cam. i have heard about the LPE GT2-3 cam but thats out of my price range for now. i just want a nice cam that is not radical, i will be getting one of those LATER

somthn that will work nice in my lq9 with stock parts

    thanks

If your gonna throw a cam in there, do it right the first time and spend the money on a good custom grind cam..

well hopefully i will get my cam in the truck soon...i plan on posting before and after dyno sheets with the LPE GT2-3 cam....tomorrow will be the before dyno run...and I due plan on goin FI sometime in the future...I just thought the cam looked good for N/A and FI if you are going that route. Especially due to the LSA being 118.5 trying to keep away from a really lopey truck(kinda want a sleeper)

Yea my Z06 cam is a 117 LSA...

what are the specs of that LPE cam man?

The only reason I put a mild cam in here is cause Ill be going LQ4 or LQ9 later on..and not to put a lot of pressure on a truck with 21k miles lmao

Ls2 cam will not work. I agree on go ahead and burn some plastic. Or get a Z06 cam.

If you spend that much on a cam kit, I'll sell you some ocean front property in Arizona too.

Learn how to shop used. Great Gen III cams are $175-250 at the most now, use LS6 springs, few gaskets, you'll have it for sub $350.
