what are your questions or concerns?
Pretty sure anything you need to know to get started will be in the lsx conversion thread but ask away.

I have a 99 6.0 and i understand the crankshaft is to long to work with my 4L60 trans was wandering if a crank from a 2004 6.0 will work and will i need to change the reluctor ring also will a 5.3 crank work
Straight swap. The crank is too long for gen3 vehicles equipped with 4l60e. If installing the long crank into an obs truck using the original trans its not an issue.

so the crank from the 04 6.0 will swap in 99 6.0 just fine i wont have to change the reluctor ring i would go with a 4l80 but just had my 4l60 rebuilt has about 10000 miles on it and im on a tight budget but i have a complete 99 6.0 and bought a 2004 6.0 for the heads and found out the crank in the 99 would be to long for my trans.
I think you misunderstood redheartbeat. The 99 crank will work fine with a obs transmission, no need to swap
Sorry i misread that thanks for the help you guys are very helpful
