    diy supercharger build idea

there is just something about a supercharged v8 (mad max is one of my fav movies) but the cost for a kit is well....steep. Ive been toying with the idea of picking up a eaton m112 and fabing a lower intake manifold or buying a victor jr. as a base and building a adapter for it and using meth/water to cool temps down. i think the hole thing can be built for well under $1000. my background is turbochargers, Ive never even messed with a supercharger so any advise/ideas would be welcome since this is still in the idea phase.

seen a third gen-ls powerd camaro with a m-90 from a t-bird thought it was pretty cool, it was on ls1tech. the guy mounted it on the side and built a charge pipe from the bottom of the blower into stock intake/throttlebody. go for it!

You can usually find used procharger units on ebay for 500-600. I would think making a bracket for that to work off of, and doing a turbo style cold pipe would be a lot easier/more efficient.

Old school carb'd motor, I agree roots is the way to go just for the look. But on our motors, there are such better options available.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

I read the build from the guy with the camaro he said he was making 5psi tuned with the stock pulley and would have about 340 hp to the flex plate on a stock motor. I'm thinking this isn't a bad idea he said he only spend $250 on the build and got 60hp from it and could have gotten even more with an after market pulley. What are others opinions on this?
