    question about deleating EGR

    does anyone know what all i need to do to get rid of EGR. My obx headers have the port built into them for EGR but came with a set screw in it to plug the port. what all do i need to do to get rid of EGR without throwing a ses light

    Put a 1-3/8" rubber freeze plug in the hole in the intake manifold and then hacksaw off the piping from the EGR solenoid. Leave the noid on there and connected and you should get no codes.

    it will still throw a code. mine did till allen fixed my tune for no egr.
    2008 Trailblazer SS LS2, K&N CAI, flowmaster 40 series, hp tuned
    2004 Trailblazer 4.2, K&N CAI, hp tuned
    2002 Camaro Z28 5.7 ls1, lid, slp loudmouth, bbk longtube headers, ory, hp tuned, tr224 cam, ported 243 heads, moser 12 bolt w/ 3.73's and full spool, and a 100 shot just in case. 463whp, 458 wtq 11.32@ 120 1.52 60' on motor no spray times yet

    What benefit if any do you get by deleting the EGR???

    EGR= Exhaust Gas Recircucyclationismsomething

    I forget exactly what it stands for at the moment, but basically it spits exhaust gases back into your intake manifold. If anything, it keeps a little hot air out.
