Keyless Entry

My work has a new 06 2500hd with the 8.1 vortec, 6 speed, pw, pl, cruise tilt and 4x4.
We did not get any keyfobs with the truck.

My question is two parts:
1.Do all chevy's with power locks have a wireless reciever?
2. I have a factory keyfob and how do I program it to work on the truck?

FYI: Ford is key on and off 8 times starting in the off position.

I'd really like to have keyless entry without jumping through hoops. I'd also like to know if the dealership shorted us the fobs. The 06 trailblazer came with them.

i would say since you have pw/pl you should be able to get fobs and have them programmed for the truck. do you have the window sticker for it? mine said "keyless entry" on the sticker. if you have that, check it first.

Sorry I don't have info on what you asked but, six speed? Auto?

6 speed auto with a manual up down on the shifter stalk.

Truck will pass up anything but a gas station.

Found the sticker and no Keyless entry listed. Claimes this is a w/t package. Possibly only available on the higher trim level.

i would think that just about all new cars these days come with keyles. Especilly trucks unless its like a bare-bones work truck. i cant remember how to do it. but last week i took my wife truck to the dealer for something.. and they were doing the stuff like what you are talking about. I am blank right now ..but i think it should be in the onwers manual. It also shows how to make only certain doors open when u unlock the doors with the keyless entry.

To program the fob turn the key on engine off. Hold the lock unlock buttons (on the keyfob) at the same time untill the locks cycle. If you havent figured it out yet try one of the keyfobs from the trailblazer you mentioned. If it dont work its not equipt with keyless entry.
