I know this ain't a diesel form but has any one ever messed with a5 speed Alison? After going through mud hole that I had to hammer down in my tranny kicked into limp mode which locks it in 3rd I believe to get you home. I thought it had to be a wet sensor or plug..... so I got it to my shop and pulled every plug on trans and cleaned and die electric greased all. The code is a p0872 which my code reader says transmission fluid pressure sensor, and snap on computer said valve e silinoid which trans shop Todd me more than likely stuck valve and Told me it needed flushed. I flushed the trans and changed internal and external filter, pulled solenoids and cleaned them as well. Does anyone have any other opinions or advice about something else before i take it to trans shop for them to fix cause I guarantee they will want to rebuild?
