    Unhappy rear locker help

    looking for help or advice on a rear locker for my pickup not sure what i need spec wise and looking for a good deal on one sice ill be down there working on it lookin to put in some 4 10 gears in also

    well theres a few choices out there, detroit true track, eaton, auburn, myself i took redhearts advice and went with auburn.. but others have there own sayso about others...
    Simple: 408 on steroids!

    Well, it kind of depends on what type of performance you are looking for. Your truck is 4x4, so you'll be rebuilding both front and rear differentials if you're changing gear ratios. Do you want race performance traction, or street performance traction. If you want race performance traction, and don't care about accelerated tire wear, a spool or mini-spool is a very good choice, and may be the least expensive purchase. But if you don't want to hear your tires barking around corners driving through town, or if you ever drive on snow/ice, then DO NOT spool your rear diff. If your just looking for something in between, the Auburn Posi is a very nice differential, but it will cost more.

    I went with an eaton for daily driving/racing. I dont have any complaints about it yet. A lot of people like detroits tru trac
