Allen has done a great job on my truck. If I still lived in Houston I probably would get Charlie to tune my truck since he is close, however Allen is closer to me, and is at SAR all the time where I would need him anyway. Allen is a very nice and knowledgeable and I wouldnt hesitate to do business with either. Allstar you are closer to Allen so in this case I would say go to Allen. Im not sure Charlie has a whole lot of experience with "wild" setups aka high psi turbo stuff or large shots of nitrous but he seems to do well from what I have read with cammed trucks.

good to know, talk about opening a bag of worms haha, what a simple post can turn into. although it&#39;s hard to get ahold of allen, ive heard great stories from people who have used him, and although it took him a while to respond(because i called him when they were moving) he went out of the way to make sure he called me and did all he could to help me. thats more than i can say for a lot of other people ive talked to. it&#39;s also hard to say someone is as good as him, because i mean just look at the gains he gets&#33; as soon as i geyt my tranny ill have a tune from allen. i thought id ask since some others were saying he was as good at half the price. i didnt believe it, and still dont. any time they question who&#39;s the best, this post proves my point for me thanks guys&#33;

Here is my unbiased opinion:
Allen has been around a long time and does know what he&#39;s doing -- hands down.
I have seen his work in person and it does not lack anything.

I have a tune from Charlie Wheatley and it does not fall short of awesome as well.
Charlie has plenty of experience tuning, not as much as Allen, but he is not too far behind.
Charlie is always available via phone or in person and have never heard him say he was too busy for something. He&#39;s a super nice guy as well, both outside and inside his business.

Its hard to get an unbiased opinion on a board that belongs to the person you are asking about, you should obviously know what kind of answers you&#39;d get.

i&#39;d like to think we have more honest and nonbiased guys on here than what ur giving credit for. as u can tell no one has bashed whealey, and having read thid thread id consider both guys. i think ur statement about charlie being available and "never too busy to help" applies to allen as well, but realize how many customers allen is dealing with and i think he does a great job as well. from what ive heard and the service ive recieved through him, allen seems like a nice guy who&#39;s willing to take 2 hours if needed to do a live tune(ive heard from many people). this thread was not meant to be an opening for bashing or unbiased views. from what ive posted i see no reason people wouldnt say what they think(read above) thanks for all ur info guys, sounds like either guy does a good job.

every forum has its favorites....beleave it or not, some chevy forums still recomend westers this one is certainly pro nelson performance...wander why allen did an awesome job on my truck, but here lately ive been hearing of a few nelson guys swaping over to wheatley only because allen is just so dang busy.
