They are idiots. Pinion angle has everything to do with wheel hop
The kit is decent but the customer service is complete junk. Next time is Belltech.
Hi,
I have a 2000 Silverado with your 4/6 control arm and flip kit setup. I love the way it makes the truck handle but I have a few questions. I took my truck to the track the other day for the first time and on launch, I get really bad wheelhop. I read online that this kit has an adjustable pinion angle which will probably take care of that but can you tell me how to adjust the angle or is there a way I can get a copy of the instructions either online or mailed? I can pay for postage if needed. Also, the two top plates that bolt over the leaf springs are both bent at the front, can I buy those two top plates from DJM seperately? I think that may be affecting the pinion angle too.
Thank you for your time,
-Evan Gray
And here is the response:
Hi,
Your truck sounds messed up but wheel hop has nothing to do with pinion angle. The instructions are online, go to applications and click on the rear part #
Wow... thanks.

It really seems like they just went to the local ricer meeting and hired the tech guy from there. Along with that, the bump stops on the notches are too small and the differential hits the bed before the bump stops do anything. It's an easy fix but you would think that with a $700 kit they could figure out the bump stop height. Not meaning to bitch too much, I just want you guys to know what a bunch of idiots work there.
I have the same wheel hop issue, carrier lift didn't correct it so it's time to adjust the pinion angle. my diff doesnt hit the bed though.

are you still running the overload spring? if not you will get lots of wheel hop. you will need shims to get the pinion angle right. $700 is a lot. just paid mine under $500 a month a go.

Yeah I still have the overload springs, with some bump stops on the front of them. It worked great on a stock height suspension. I need to get some time to work on pinion angle.
Well, here is the pinion angle how it is right now. I may be wrong, but shouldn't it angle down slightly, like a degree or two?
And here are the plates:
I tried to loosen everything up, angle to differential down a little, and snug everything up with new brackets but the adjustable part is as far as it will go without grinding and re welding brackets. At least I know for sure what's causing the hop now.
wow, thats terrible. yeah, a degree or two from the driveshaft would be better than up 10 degrees.

I would have a pro like DBRods look at it. I think the plate is overtightened. Which bent it. Also something just doesnt look right to me there. I am not a pro suspension guy at all though. It may be that DJM does to much ricer stuff therefore is weak sauce.
