6.2 is not made for boost. Cast pistons and rods. People have been blowing them up, but they seem to do ok at 10psi or less.
Set of forged rods and pistons are in the plan down the road some day....

Little over 6,000lbs. Its the unsprung weight of the 35" BFG AT's that really bog it down. Truck feels like I took 2,000+ lbs off it. They come stock with 4.10 gears which helps, but kills the mpg.
Yeah, crank hp. give or take. Might be a little over 600, but dyno numbers always vary.
600 X 82% = 492rwhp
Thanks. Truck is a blast to drive. The low end torque launches it out of the hole like...
Howdy all,
Havent been around for a long time cause I got rid of my Tahoe, but figured fellow truck nuts would get a kick out of my latest project.
Picked up a 2012 Raptor this past summer and...
Start with gears
then cat back exhaust
then headers and cold air intake
then trans servo/shift kit and torque converter upgrade
then cam with tune
then some 243 heads
They are next, but sure does sound like its the front.
Roll down the window and it sounds more in front then behind me.
How loose should those pads slide on the little tabs on the caliper...
Brakes were making a racket squealing and grinding.
Spent morning replacing front pads and rotors and it is still squealing like a banshee.
When I took the old ones off there was still plenty...
I was thinking the same, but with all the who-ha about this these days
I could see them burying it deep in the code and making it untouchable too.
Saw today that by 2012 GM will install software in all its automatic transmission vehicles
that will disable the accelerator if the brake is applied.
So much for doing tire smoking burn outs...
calling "Snookie" a girl is pushing it for me.
Punch a girl ? No.
Punch a smack talk'n Ho ? Maybe ......
You just have to remember the 60E is not weak.
Its just a car trans, that GM put into a heavy ass truck that
was never intended to be flogged on.
You'll be happy with 80E I'm sure.
bump for good deal. these run about 850-900 new.
FYI: you do have to buy a special turbonetic 3" v band flange for these.
a normal 3" flange is about 1/16" off. They are not expensive, but just...

Came up with another one ...........
A Liberal believes everyone deserves to have the same success
A Conservative believes everyone deserves to have the same opportunity for success
I live about 1.5 miles from that area.
Someone broke into my Tahoe in my driveway about 5 weeks ago.
At least they caught the bastards.
Couple of black guys strolling thru the neighborhood at...
Looks good.
Just a minor thought ..........
Wouldnt it be better for oil pump to be behind turbo ?
So when you accelerate the natural tendency will be for the oil
to get "slung" back to...
Actually that 4.5/5.6L OHC engine Nissan makes is a pretty kick-ass engine.
Always been impressed with how bad you can treat a nissan engine
and thing just keeps running and running.
I'd take...
you're missing the real story on that Dyno graph.
I would love to see the "avg. hp" difference in those two graphs.
I bets its a LOT more than a 38hp gain.
Avg. HP matters a lot more than Peak...
You will gain a lot of low end torque and lose a lot of top end horse power.
uh, it doesnt have a limited slip ........
swap out some flat top 4.8 pistons,
find set of used 243 heads and have them milled a little
healthy cam
long tubes and full exhaust
be cheapest way to get most N/A power. ... IMO
We'll leave the freeway roll racing to you and the ricers :ugh2:
hehe
No turbo is going to spool up exactly into the center efficiency island
and stay there. The whole nature of plotting engine demands on a compressor
map would not allow it.
The turbo's spool up...
Found this cool turbo calculator too
Squirrel Performance
Ran your set-up thru a couple of turbos.
Best plot I could find for a twin 447 making big power was a pair of
Garrett GT4088-2's ......
