i did the jumper onthe starter. the starter spun and popped forward. That should mean the starter and solenoid are still good. Still no start though and no gear indicator.

I ended up going with a 5" X .125" wall thick driveshaft from IEDLS Inland Empire Driveline Services. It cost almost $800 plus $151 for their new rear yoke. I don't think I'll blow this one.
