I know it sounds far fetched and beyond but I had the same problem and by accident found out the distributor was the problem ...there was a crack in the shaft letting out vacuum so a misfire happened...

Yes those colors pop on that Tahoe but I wouldn't have started until I purchased the replacement engine because it's such an easy swap
