Do you have the part number for the dakota digital module to run the 2002 4l60e trans with the 89 stock cluster?
i want the ecm
How much for the hood?
What's your bottom dollar on the trans?
Yeah still got the grille and bumper?
Also where are you located? Im also interested in the transmission.
Ok seriously. I just changed the pump and the sending unit and brand new power and ground wires and grounded it at the battery. Its still doing it. Could it be anything else. I've changed the pump 3...
That's what I was thinking. Could it be the mass air flow sensor? Or wiring somewhere besides the fuel system?
nice color. glwts
Trade ya my 81 green truck. 5.3 swap. Has a fuel issue right now but that's it.
Sp you ran factory 87 lines? Mine are from an 81 on the opposite side of the truck for the carb.
lechez71 what brand/part number lines did you use and adapters?
Those of you the have swapped in a square body. How did you do your fuel system? Like what tank, what sending unit, what fuel pump, what fuel lines. And this is with the return style fuel rail.
All wires tested good voltage. Alternator tested good. Is it possible it could be over or under pressure in the tank?
so i checked the pressure when i got home. its running at 43-48 once i give it gas it drops to 20-30. if i undo the regulator it raises to 60 at idle and drops to 35-40 with it revved up high.
What im wondering is could it be a sensor like the maf or iac or tps? It doesn't ever die when I give it gas like its running out of fuel it just chokes
Oh im using the line that came with the pump. On both pumps I did.
Im using a brand new factory regulator on the rail.
Yes the fuel filter is new in the tank and a new summit filter. Im running rubber fuel hose from oreillys. And I have two clamps on the pressure and return lines at the motor and just one on each at...
Hose clamps on the connection. Its not loose. At the rail last time I checked at idle was around 45-50 but my gauge had a leak and I haven't bought a new one. And the hose isn't long enough to check...
ok so on my 81, i put in the 2002 5.3 4l60 in it. at first i ran a walbro 255 inline pump. it couldnt keep up. so i put in a aeromtoive intank pump. worked great for about 6 months. then it just...
The motor in my green truck is off Craigslist and works great. I guess I got lucky..
I never checked pressure cause I am still waiting on a oil pressure sensor connector to get here. And I should of put a manual gauge on it but I didn't. That's my bad. Or at least pulled the cover...
dipstick says full. and i also changed the oil before i started it the first time. it drove fine for the exhaust shop and for me for 2 miles. and ran outside at idle for probably an hour total...
Took the starter out. Its fine. Pulled the valve covers its gunky and dry. No residue of wet oil from it running yesterday. I think the motor may be locked up. What do you think
No I had someone build it who built my last 2 trans I needed built.
How would I check to see if it spins if I can't even get the motor to spin? The truck rolls in neutral I know that much. but I...
How am I supposed to do that when I can turn the motor over?
That's what im afraid of. Could the trans pump or anything in the trans be locked up.
Yes I did have the plugs in. ive turner it over before with the plugs in. Like when I was putting the converter bolts in. Its not that hard when they are in. It won't move at all now
