I picked up a 160* for my '04, went from running a bit above 200 to 183.
Yeah you dont want it shifting too hard. You will need to have the shift times zeroed out and i would remove all TM left to get the most out of it.
What do you have? I think EFILive can read tuners files, well, at least the ones that are .bin, they are all in .hpt now.

Awesome thanks guys, the servos will go in first since I most likely can do that one myself, the shift kit may be a few weeks. Does anyone have a good guide to installing the servos?
I just ordered the vette and super 4th servos along with the transgo hd2 shift kit for the Ave, is the longer pin worth it? What does it do?
lol...i got it man, i had to remove the parking lamp housing to get to the bottom one. Pain in the ass but I got it! After the first time I could probably swap both in 5 mins, it was just figuriing...
They changed the way they were for the 03 model I think, at least in my Avalanche they did. This one is a bitch!
