who would be kind and tell me how long a driveshaft needs to be with an 81 short wheelbase chevy, its 2wd and I want to do a ls/4l60 from a truck, I would greatly appreciate it...... thanks:newbie:

search for the mounts on here and you should be able to find a pic with the details like the bolt hole spacing and thickness of the plate, 1/4 I believe..

just curious as to how long your driveshaft had to be for this to work and which way you positioned your mounts?

Well I tried to no avail, the lower ball joint has a larger pin than the upper one. Was goin to take it all apart anyhow so no love lost there!!! If a man ( or woman) could find ball joints right...
