For the money your going to spend on the 4.8 you could easily buy a 6.0 and be way ahead.

Glad ya found it. I know stuff like that can drive a person crazy
I took off my flowmaster for magnaflow and couldn't be happier. I got the 14 inch single in dual out. If I did it again I'd go with a longer like 21 inches or whatever the next size up is.
I believe you can just put the switch with 2 plugs on the trans and plug it in
I think I'm going to try it when funds allow. Worst that can happen is buying a new short block I guess
I started out building a n/a motor to put nitrous on. Well lately I been really thinking of putting a small turbo or something to get around 10# of boost instead. Btw it's a 5.3 cam and boltons. My...
I vote boost the 5.3 unless you're planning on freshining up the 6.0
Agreed
Dang I must've gotten pretty lucky. I have some cheap eBay headers with 2 1/2 collectors and 2 1/2 inch exhaust. Every dyno is different and will read different numbers. Still on factory injectors...
Heads will definitely help. I was a lil disappointed in my dyno as well. I run a little smaller cam 228/232 but managed 325/300 and know with better heads and nnbs intake with 90mm tb I should pick...
Have you tried a new pn switch? Or moving the selector inside the switch and having some one try to start it? Any possible way it could've done something to VSS when drive shaft came out?
Take Allen's advice. After they are primed roll the cam on the base circle. Take rocker to 0 lash. Then torque to 22ftlbs and count the number of turns. Iirc should be between 3/4 and 1 1/4 turns to...
Before the end of this year is like to see 12s on motor. I have a long way to go!
Keep us updated. My set up is close to that but no track times yet myself.
Thanks lol... Yeah I'm already saving for the swap man.
That's badass man. On my 3 rd 60e so if it doesn't hold I will be swapping and getting one of those!
Lifters are a good idea if you have some higher milage on that engine since you will have the heads off anyway. Those lifters are .050 taller so keep that in mind also. I would think a cam something...

I been working on mine too
Looks good.
No noise that I could hear at all.
Truth!
Had the same problem in my old 4.8. 2weeks later it locked up
Ok thanks
Question bout the placement of maf? If your pullin the hot air right from the fans does that really have that much effect on anything? Would a schedule 80 PVC say dropped down just below the radiator...
Yeah man real small. It's my dads cousins and stuff that's why I really don't know them.
