Looks really clean! I just have one concern; Where you mounted the wastegate isn't ideal. The wastegate won't be nearly as efficient if it were placed downstream of both manifolds.

Ya
Ya, ill just get the ARP's. Brother is building a 6.0l so he can use the alper head studs anyways.
As for cam i will talk to stock48.
I will update the progress of the engine as it goes...
Hey guys,
I just want to clarify that my 3 bar map sensor works. I plugged it into my truck that has a 2.5 bar map sensor (cobalt ss) and it read 72kpa. I know its not the right tune and will not...
Post pics when its all done eh
Thanks George, glad i havent bought the cam yet haha. I was also reading up on that mustang you built. I noticed that you torqued your head studs to 95ft*lb. Would I be ok torquing to the recommended...
Hey thanks a lot I appreciate the input!
I'll probably just get the stock heads ported.
Hey guys just wondering what you think about this combo:
Engine
-LS3 (out of a 2010 Camaro) doing a very small bore on it
-Not sure about pistons yet (9.5:1 compression though)
-leaving the...
I recommend the CX racing intercooler over it. I bought mine for about $350 and cane with mandrel bent 3" tubing, silicone couplers, and clamps. My IAT's are kept really low. 13# and 600+ hp
Ya I did a lot of research on getting the vbands to seal. From what I've read, having it clamped while welding it is the best way to prevent warp. Also stitch weld it.
One big problem I had was...
Here is the hotside piping. And for the cold side I didnt have the tool that rolls the bead so I just welded all the way around.
The downpipe is angled outwards now and I did fix the tranny leak...
Depends what nozzle size you go with and what you have your pressure switch set to.
I have a DO3 and a DO7 nozzle coming on at 5psi. I have to refill about once every two weeks. Keep in mind this...
-45deg celcius rated windshield washer fluid. Can even use the same reservoir for your washer fluid.
You'd have to buy a supercharger with an integrated intercooler if you wanted it in that order. A centrifugal supercharger would go: air cleaner, super charger, intercooler, TB, intake, heads.
...
I used a Devils Own kit with dual nozzles. #3 and #7 nozzle which flows a lot haha. Its a cheap upgrade like $350-$400. Although I could build my own- now that I know what goes into it- for very...
I would expect about 600rwhp on the pump alone. About 700rwhp with water/meth. Just an fyi I jumped from 530rwhp to 608 with the water/meth.
I will post the hot and cold side pics when I get home....
Went 12.34s @ 120.10mph
I didn't build a lot of boost at launch. I kept rolling on the brakes. With line lock I could prolly drop to mid 11's
I think the A1000 is good for more than 700hp. Right now I'm using an Aeromotive 340 stealth on 91octane gas making 610hp and 640tq. 60lb/hr injectors, and some water meth.
I swapped the LS1 intake onto my LM7, although mine is boosted so I dunno how much of a difference in power there is. I will likely switch to a sheet metal intake in the future anyways.
The mods I...
The ecu would be programmed to run a 5.3l. Your fueling may be lean when you put a 5.7l in. Might want to get a tune.
Thanks alot guys. Really appreciate it.
The CX turbo is essentially a copy of the magnum?
Thanks man. Hard to say, I sent the block back to Thompson and they didnt have a clue what could cause that much damage. I had my engine guy also have a look and he couldn't give me a definitive...
I know I'm way late on getting back to you, but for anyone else who lands upon this thread - cracked lands between the piston rings happened haha
Well are you swapping 89-95 or 96-98? There is quite a few differences between each setup. From what I've read and experienced, the 89-95 is easier and there are more people who have done the swap to...
