This is what happens when guys have two months of experience and suddenly feel like they are experts. Take note of this fail, the reason you always change oil after a cam swap is because antifreeze...
And that...
Just because you can...don't mean you should.
Strokers make more power but, it comes at the price of long term reliability. Boost + 4" stroke? Man I just do know.....a 4" bore with a 4.8 crank...
Lookin' good, skirted relays are cool.
Agreed lol my brand new $89 eBay altenator has proven to be the most reliable so far (compared to vatozone)
I went from 11.23 to 8.86, NA all I had to do was swap in larger engine and swap gears! Oh wait.....wrong thread
Yeah....delete everything
Additional air is entering the intake stream at some point after MAF. Or....too much ethanol in your gas. Cats are not the enemy here, don't get em, very minimal gain from going without.
The old alt will fit...or at least I've seen them mounted before so I can't say for sure if modification is needed.
Sure the hell is!
Cool, any idle videos? Any plans to swap heads?
Buy new! Waiting is no fun lol what is your current setup?
9/6/12 Northstar dragway Denton, Texas. Not bad for stock NA 5.7 engine, cam, converter, exh manifolds, and air intake.

Swapping to disc brakes, includes hard brake line on axle. $100 local pickup in North DFW area only.
No emergency brake cables, both were missing when I got the truck.
Stay classy kid :ugh2: I can afford to have work done by Nelson, they are a good performance shop and I do not dispute that. However....I build my own engines and do all my own welding, fabrication,...

Not trying to start a ruckus, just saying there is options with better quality and for cheaper. Check eBay item 261072252444
A harness from a 05 will need to be modified to work on a 99-02 truck. Also there is much better options than the Nelson harness.
I have a manual override to turn on radiator fans with engine off (to cool engine quicker between runs) these would be perfect.
I don't use spray but I'm gonna order anyways...lol
http://alldatadiy.com/ get a membership, well worth the price since you don't know how to use the search function.
Why not look at number on old bearing?
5.7 w/243 heads, made 349rwhp last June.
