Cam sensor on the 4.8 is behind the intake manifold. On the 6.0 with the 58x the cam sensor is on the timing cover. I think the knock sensors are different also.
I did the exact same thing been working since 2011.
As long as you don't have the 1999-2000 6.0 with the long crank yours will bolt right up.
Your fuel gauge works off your tank and gauge. New engine has no effect on that. Just hook up wires from old starter the same way to the 6.0 starter. I would get an adapter so your 1995 oil pressure...
Make sure all your grounds are connected. Usually is the cause of this problem.

Thanks I had a feeling I would need to raise engine.
The dirty dingo's have some adjustment to them. On my swap I located them in the same location as my old 350 so all my driveline stuff hooked up correctly. I have Schoenfeld long tube headers.
Probably won't help much but I have a 1992 2wd with a 5 speed(newer trans) and the internal slave. I used the nfw 1050 flywheel with a 4.8 1500 clutch setup from LUK.
I have a 1992 chevy pickup 2wd with a 5.3 swap. I was wondering if anyone has changed there oil pan(truck oil pan)while motor was in truck? I just want to know if there is room to change pan and get...
Not the best picture. Click on for a better view.
I am using the same setup but I wired in the a/c request and I also had to wire a ground to the 1999 pcm red 55 so it thought it had pressure in system. Mine idles up when ever I run the a/c
Same here. My truck is also lowered. Do you have the motor to far back?
https://www.holley.com/products/ls_power/ls_exhaust/ls_headers/ These are for the 73-87 trucks but I would think the would fit the 88-98
I like the fuel door idea. Even though it isn't to bad to pickup the bed that still makes it a lot easier.
What fuel system are you plumbed for return style or returnless? What kind of regulator are you running? I had my hose come loose on pump in my tank and only had 20 psi and motor still ran fine at...
On my 1992 I used the 1992 radiator. I had zero issues with the clutch fan. About a year ago I put a 16in electric fan with a shroud and I also have a/c but I am a manual 5speed. My temp never goes...

The 6.0 and 5.3 are ls engines. I would check the performance modification forum http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/performance-modifications/
I figure people here would want to know hooker is coming out with.

Cool thanks!!
On my 2wd truck it sits about an inch and a half below front crossmember.
What did you use for the pcm bracket?
The 2002 Camaro pcm is the 411 pcm.
