Thanks. I went with the Durango this time to see if the SUV body will be more rigid. Also, a little shorter wheelbase, nice leather interior, and will have front and rear A/C.
I haven't been on this site since last time I did a Dodge to LS swap. The 1999 Dakota R/T I built runs fantastic. Using a 6.0 with 6L80, I added an LS9 cam with car intake, and run about 12.5 at 107...
I just found your thread after posting mine above you.
Is the 241 transfer case what all GM 4X4 use? I think the Durango I want to swap has a 241, but I have no idea if the bolt pattern and shaft...
Hi.
I have a 2000 Dodge Durango that I want to put an ls engine in. I want to use a Gen IV, 6.0 engine, but I am not finding enough good information for the transmission and transfer case.

Moved to LSX conversion. Sorry.

Depends. Drag racing wasn't my plan for this truck. But i will probably do test and tune night. It is going on the dyno in a couple of weeks.
Man, you aren't kidding.
Thanks. Now I am looking at all of the extra space on the passenger side, and thinking maybe turbo? 650-700 hp should be attainable.

The swap that has Mopar guys pissed.
About a year ago, we ran across a 1999 Dakota R/T with bushing and ball joint problems, and picked it up from the auction for $2000. It turned out, it also had...
Yeah, MOPAR guys are different. They have spent years arguing over the only 2 intake manifold options (stock or M1) and head options (stock or eddelbrock aluminum), and the only one tuner (sean at...
Actually, I have received so much criticism about it NOT BEING MOPAR, that I am going to rebadge it with Dakota LSX stickers (rather than R/T). But to me, LSX is becoming its own brand, separate from...
Here are pictures of LSDAK1 with the fully dressed motor. We are waiting for the driveshaft, then off for wiring.

Here is a pic of the truck I am working on.
AND the motor and trans I bought.

Thanks for the info. It has 100,000 on it. I am just tired of the old magnum making a paltry 200 hp to the rear wheels, and no support to do anything with them. I am glad that you guys feel I picked...
Hello all,
I have purchased a LY6 drop out with attached 6L90 transmission to swap into my Dakota RT. I have the current motor out, and have taken some measurements to see what will be required to...
