like the title says, I cant find a good shop down here.
needs to fit a 07 down GMC
9 is considered fast for a truck, don't count on it.
finally someone else blew 3rd gear on a z400. i had a 06 400 and the trans and a bunch of other stuff was destroyed by 3 years in. it started wiuth 3rd gear losing a tooth, after that it all went to...
if you want traction on the street you need a 4x4, otherwise do what i do and just accept it. unless you think its practical to drive around on street slicks in a pickup truck all the time.
a little truck like that probably handles like a car anyways right.
i would personally prefer a selectable 4x4 because the only time you really need the traction is in a drag race, no turning there. but i suppose if you want to drive your truck like its a sports car...
would it be possible to still have it selectable by unlocking the front diff and just letting the front drive shaft spin? or am i missing something.
you can check out his current tune from this link if you have efilive. ac wont work at idle - EFILive Forum
maybe someone could check it out for possible flaws that could cause the issue.
i need to do this to my truck, i never liked the way the gmc hoods looked so wimpy and curvy.
damn! that's some serious damage, and one hell of a repair bill! from the 5 responses i read, it sounds like it ate some oil and ran away. but that's a 1200hp marine diesel, that thing is allot...
true, but the difference in torque is so enormous it does help compensate for the major weight disadvantage to some degree.
that sounds freakin awesome. i launch from 1500rpms and no boost, cant even hit wot until second gear.
honestly, i think all the variables we (me) are comparing is getting kind of stupid. you cant really directly compare these kinds of things i guess.
man, i dream of a 5-8 psi launch... 4x4 must be...
yea, you gotta have a good bit of time on your hands to figure out custom tuning. its not hard, just takes time. whats the dmax run mic?
oh im pretty sure id loose to your dmax, i don't know whats done to it but somehow im sure its out of my league lol.
btw my oil (delvac) cost less then say Valvoline max life, mobile 1 synthetic, or just about any good gas oil. that's why my oil change is cheaper. and if i had gotten a gasser for 5k i would have...
not really, there's a gasser section on most diesel forums. i dont hate gassers, no one who knows anything about anything could hate a good American v8 like the ls motors. the only people who don't...
maintenance for my truck has been cheap. and i surely have less money in my rig then 90% of this forum does on there gas rigs. i have said it before, if your gonna buy a new truck, then diesel is a...
lol... whatever guys, diesels suck and gas is better. if i say anything you guys will have a comeback for it.
we could argue this all day, its just not worth my time.
fuel prices depend on location, diesel is cheaper then gas around me. maintenance cost isn't a deal breaker unless you cant do it yourself, allot of my buddies with gassers actually pay more for an...
depends how much it costs up front. if you can get one cheap and you can accept that you probably will never have the money to support anything over 500rwhp then diesels good. fuel mileage will be...
a junkyard 6.0 / 80e swap with good heads, cam, and a little nitrous would probably be cheaper then 14k.
nice car. the engine kind of rips the soul out of it but still cool. i would prefer a good old big block.
yea a guy that lived down the street from me sold his cummins because it got like 11 mpg, it had like 40k miles. i asked him if he ever changed the fuel filter, he said whats that? lol. same guy that...
