Who did the tuning? Which wire harness?
Welcome to the ghost town. You will find tons of good but old info here. Basically no active members anymore. Sounds like a great build have fun.
Got the annual happy birthday email from the forum. Crazy to think how busy this site once was and what it has become. Still have my truck. I know at least a few still do as well. Miss this group at...
Wow. I check in here about once every few months. First post in years I am sure. Crazy to think once upon a time this forum was as busy as almost any.
Carb cams are kind of a different game. LSA should be much lower than what you might be accustom to something like 107-109

Nope.
Price and who built it? Looks a bit rough to be honest.
Dammit. Between gas prices being under $2 and you now posting this rediculously clean tbss I may have to make a trip down to the bank so they can tell me no. Lol
Welcome from Mesa as well.
The tahoes actually have the shortest wheelbase. That is helpful. The suburbans are about on point, but suffer from the same turning issues.
Hold up a second. Did you say low 10s or high 9s from a 5.3 powered fullsize truck? That is highly ambitious just so you're aware. The TU1.5 would actually be great. Everything else is on the right...
The key factor is how hard you are looking to push. As george mentioned it's not required, but rather helpful. Considering 850rwhp is aggressive for a 5.3 powered truck I would say it's a good idea....
I believe with a simple cut down yoke you are good to go.
SDPC has worked 60cc 243s for about $1100 I believe and I bet they will make a deal for the holidays. I wouldn't spend the money on an intake manifold at this point. If anything a NNBS intake with...
Ton of guys got married, started having kids, sold their trucks and were forced to grow up. Also very little has changed in a while. Records are more expensive to break, and most stuff has been done...
If the lifters are in decent shape I wouldn't worry. Sounds almost like you might have an exhaust leak causing the tapping. I wouldn't waste money on the LS7 lifters they are basically the same as...
Aluminum block is a good indicator it is an LS1 only I tiny percentage of 5.3s were made with the aluminum block. Also I believe the 803 heads only came on 98-00 LS1s. Which also leads me to believe...
Mods look like a very fun list. It's hard to go wrong with any reputable heads. On a budget the 60cc 243s from SDPC are a great deal. With a little more money I would go with WCCH heads.
Triple disk 3800 or maybe a tad higher.
Who did the head work? Any idea what they flow? Milled at all?
Damn these would look clean in just about any GM ride.
Been wondering when someone might do a fully striped max effort build like this. Looks damn good.
Sold can swap will cost $1000 with everything.
It will cost roughly $1000 to make it happen. Also no matter what you do a complete custom tune will be required. Nelson performance, or any reputable shop can make that happen easy. If you plan on...
