Ok, going from my '99 Silverado to '04 Avalanche, I noticed one major thing. The throttle response on this thing sucks! I know that it is a bit heavier than my Z71, but the response just isnt there. It seems like when I jab the throttle, it takes about a full second or so to start responding. I have removed all TM except the injector disable when traction control kicks in. The ETC max throttle percentage table is maxed out, so I know that is not limiting it. Does anyone know of anything i can change in the tune to work this out? My part throttle timing I know for a fact is maxed out, and the AFR is perfect. Anyone!?

Yeah the power is definately there, these things were pigs from the factory. But its only really part throttle I am feeling. The torque is there I can feel that, but its just the initial response when I tap the throttle.

I personally don't like it. But I think the lack of balls from a dead stop maybe the torque management.

Mine seems fine to me. But I also went from a bigass Z71 with 4.8L cable to the SS with electronic. The only thing that I notice is its touchy. When I let friends drive my truck, they always have to get use to it, like when they hit bumps and stuff.

I have taken every bit of TM out of the tune. Transmission and engine. There is no TM at all limiting this thing. Maybe its just a heavier vehicle and I am having to get used to physics! Damn Science!

I got it figured out. The throttle is still a bit jumpy, but I raised the converter lock and unlock by 10%, then modified the verter unlock and trans downshift speeds a hair. The trans is much more consistant and the hesitation is all but gone. I'm gonna have to chalk this one up to the converter, I also set the converter maximum to 98% and min to 90% to eliminate slippage. Truck is much much more responsive!
