    Broken exhaust manifold bolts..

I got my 6.0 today from LKQ, and as normal with these LS engines, there are 2 exhaust manifold bolts broke off in the heads. On the first one i tried drilling into it and using an EZ out and it didnt work. I drilled further and the holes is going crooked so i stopped. I have not tried the other one yet, it is broke off flush with the head also.. Whats the best way to get these out without drilling into a water jacket? Kinda hard to drill perfectly straight..

Easiest way is let the machine shop put some of that hard glue on the end and they simply get it out.
We weld a big nut to the end. Even if it's a flush break use a nut that Allows you to weld inside the nut making contact with the broken bolt.

yup. exactly what allen said. i just did that last month to mine. had 2 broken bolts causing exhast leak and DTC's. took me a day to do just one side as ive never done it before. but it worked like a charm. if you know how to weld, save some cash and do it yourself. if not, take it to the shop. but its not a hard fix. good luck
