Anybody have any experiences with G8's?

So after a horrible car buying experience at a dealership my wife was left without a vehicle of her own. She has always liked the G8's so We found one in Houston and are going to get it on May 18th.

Anybody have any experience with these cars? Are they pretty reliable?

The dealer says they have the service tickets from when the LCA's and strut bushings were changed, per GM's service notice.

Well the bad experience was with a Chevy dealer here in West TX. So this time I got my banker to approve me for a said amount for a vehicle that meets year and mileage requirements. I actually placed a deposit on two vehicles. She is pretty set on the G8, in the back of my mind I'm hoping she doesn't like it so I can drive a 6.2 ecsb back to Odessa.

I've been wanting to find a good deal on one close to me for a while. I have heard mostly good things about them, it's just like everything there are bound to be bad things said about them.

If they made them in awd a G8 would be my next vehicle. Unfortunately I will have to wait until I am in a drier climate. They are sick as hell if you ask me.

Just make sure the bushings have been done as per GM's recall. Thats the only issue I know they have. They do ride a little stiff, but have awesome seats so it's not too bad.

GXP Clint lol. GTP were grand prix like the wifes car. GXP came with the 6.2 from camaro's 6spd, or autotragic. 415hp or 400 from the factory. The GT's were 361hp form the factory. With bolt on's the wake up alot. Hell just a reflashed ecu gains about 30whp. There great cars okay on gas but have the power of a V8. If i was to replace the GTP we have i would get the G8 they have way more room inside plus it has a LS based motor even though the gtp 3.8's are very strong too.

The 6.0 is the ls2 so it's got 400hp. And gets 24+mph on the highway. Add a tune, free flowing intake and exhaust and that number will go up.
