    Lovin the south

I know this has nothing to do with trucks, but I know on other forums we're allowed to talk about whatever. Just wanted to check in from the south! My girlfriend and I decided to take a little getaway trip from the winter up north and head to South Carolina, here in Myrtle Beach, got here last Saturday and here til Sunday. Had a great week so far, awesome weather. Was actually hotter up in Ontario for a few days than here in SC. Was in the 80s up there which is unheard of for March! It's usually 80-100 degrees colder! Anyways lovin the south, gonna come back every year I think. Next year the truck will be making the trip! Lots of sweet trucks down here all the way from pavement scraper S10's to jacked up dually's. Whole different world from at home. Not looking forward to the 1100 mile drive home in a couple days, having too much fun down here drinking your cheap beer!

South Carolina is a great place to be. But I am a little biased, I was born and raised here.

Tennessee is next year to the Smoky mountains. Made it around 650 miles north to Hershey PA today, long 12 hours on the road! Home tomorrow! Only about 450 miles to go.

Man I drove straight from San Antonio home with the exception of a half hour stop to swap tires. You don't need to be stopping at 12 hours

The smoky Mountains will be the best vacation you have ever taken by far. I've been 3 times with the family and Im 19. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are connected and it's a blast especially Cades Cove and Dollywood. I'm all the way South in Mississippi and in my opinion the best place to see trucks in Texas.. It seems like that is truck country.

Yeah well when you have a girlfriend that has to pee every half hour and has a bad back that's a different story. I would have drove straight through no problem, have driven the same distances only stopping for gas and go for a leak when fueling up. Have a woman in the passenger seat and it changes the plans real quick.
