    Video/Sound Editing Software

Basically I am looking for video editing software that I can purchase. I can only do so much with free software. You look at these videos that are decent quality with great effects. I am not looking to create a masterpiece, just looking to have some fun. Most free programs can do most conversions, so I am looking one as like an ALL AROUND sort of package deal.

Possibly a sound editor as well included. I am wanting to make masterpieces with racing videos or anything, this is just for fun. Nothing that will break that bank.

    Any ideas? Suggestions?

For audio I use Audacity. Its free and has a lot of great features, but I'm sure something you pay for would be much better. My uncle does video editing and makes DVDs of peoples weddings and special events. He uses iVideo for the Mac. His stuff looks amazing.
