    Dear GM designers

Could you make the effin AC Belt a little less tight!!Another two hours of work and I could have pulled the motor out.

FYI...its easier to just pull the air intake, fan shroud, and fan to have room to work with. First tried to do it without taking these off, no bueno.

Taking it off is the easy part.

Thats the first thing I did. Is your truck 4x4?

Maybe the 4x4 NBS is different, because it was a pain to put on. On a side note I noticed a small oil leak on the front seal.I guess I will deal with it when I do a cam swap.

There is a lot worse than that. Really. Should take 7 minutes with nothing removed. Problem is you need to do 5-6 more before you cuss the deal.

i just had to remove mine cuz tensioner took a dump. Pulling off the main belt was a pain, and my lines run below tensioner after body lift, so i couldnt even push the tensioner all the way or they would have snapped.

Glad i dont have a fan shround anymore

Its easy, just remove main belt, then remove AC belt towards the motor on the crank pulley first, then pull the rest of the way off. Install the same way...

Yep. Put the belt behind the tensioner pulley, then on the AC, then on the crank, then over the tensioner from the back.
