well its been about three months now i've gone without my tranny i ordered a kit that is good for about 750+hp.And tranny guy biult this for me,and me and him have been going rounds about this thing everything works perfect on the unit. But as soon as i give it some power and click third i burn the 3 4 clutches up.Now i've noticed that it hits lock up in third right away it never used to do this with the old one. What do you think cold be happen to it to burn up the last one lasted 35miles jamed on it twice and done he tells me my crap is making to much power for it to hold. What do you guys think

    4L60e?

I had the same problem with mine. Some have said that multiple tear-downs and rebuilds will sometimes result in them just not holding like they used to. I had mine rebuilt 3 times and had the same problem you did. Finally went to a Turbo 400 trans.

I hear ya - I use mine for my daily. Drive it 20 miles each way to work every day. I miss the OD sometimes but I'm ok with it knowing it likely won't break. You might look into the 80e.

80E is the best and alot of time the cheapest route.
ive had my fair share of broken 60Es and stalls..

i love my stock TC/80E now. Wont ever go back to the 60E.
