    Tune-Timing-Timing Controller??

Hey guys, I need some help in here please.. I've been looking on the web for a Timing Controller, this is because I think Im missing a couple of degrees while Im daily driving.. I barely use the nitrous, and I think I will ask Allen to tune my computer the degrees it should run without nitrous, then when I will use the Nitrous, add something like this to my setup..
    In-Line Timing Controller, GM LS1-6 - 8625

What do you guys think of that Controller?? I need to make sure how many degrees Allen took from my tune to run my 50-150hp shot of nos, that way I will know if it is worth to spend a couple of hundred $ to get this..

What does a "Window switch" do? Can I control timing with a window switch?

Thanks guys.. If any of you know of a better choice, please let me know...

BTW today was my FIRST day to ever step on the gas of my truck with NOS... only the 50hp shot and WOW, tires went crazy!!! seems like I joined a fun trip with my nos setup!

You can safely run a 100 shot or so without any tune changes at all. Why don't you just have Allen set it up without nitrous and run with with it later on and have no problems? Someone with actual tuning experience can chip in, but this is about the 4th thread you've posted about the same issue and to be honest, I don't think what you're looking at is going to help you very much.

Probably cutting it too close with that. I'd stick to around 100 without a tune.

I spray a 200 shot. I was going to get the timing tuner from thunder racing. It can be programmed to pull timing. But didn't use it. Geoff at EPS set mine up and tuned it also. Allen at nelson may be able to put a valet wire in your ecm. Ask him about the valet mode(depending what he uses to tune with-EFI live is in mine). I have a wire in my ecm(geoff installed it) that when it sees a ground(there is a relay in line with it tied into silenoid on n2o) it cuts 8 degrees automatically. It is called valet mode as far as I can remember. Saved 290 bucks and don't have to worry about it failing or anything.

Are you spraying a wet or dry shot? I would not go over a 100 shot dry(mass air sensor & fuel system may have trouble compensating for much more than that) and not over 150 wet on stock bottom end. Those are my 2 cents.

A few trucks on here have seen upwards of 200 on a stock bottom end.

That is why is said I would not go over 100 dry 150 wet on stock pistons and rods. I am sure other people do though.

yeah, my current setup has a 50hp shot on the peddal and 125hp second stage on the tow-haul button.. I'm not worried about over running my nos, what I'm saying is, I think I'm missing a couple of degrees on my daily driving.. engine is knocking a little bit, rattling if you know what I mean PLUS, I'm worried about the detonations when I'm racing (whitout nos) between every shift point.. I'm assuming it's timing related.. I could be wrong.. it's just weird when it detonates.. and def not cool..!

I like the way mine is set up since I don't want to damage or blow it. Not saying it won't anyway. It is about a the safest way for me to spray it.
Set up a fuel cell and run race gas in it for spray. It will help with detonation. I use 116. When it was tuned there was NO noise. But like i said I drop 8 degrees also. I would put it on there or have the valet rigged up and see. If you don't like it take it out or sell it. Have you pulled your plugs and looked at them and what ones are you running?
I have a MSD window switch with 3000 on and 6800 off pills. It is for in case you over rev and to keep it from coming on to low. Just a little safety to make you feel better really. Some people I know that have used spray for a while don't want or need it.
