I don't know what your funds situation is but you will be alot happier and better off with a forged bottom end. Atleast pistons and rods ringed for nitrous. Stock cranks can hold 5-600 hp usually if it is balanced good. I have seen similiar blocks for sale on another site for a good price in sponsor sale section. Just my 2 cents.
Not just a ton of cash to throw around right now. Kind of wanting to keep it under 2k... Being I doubt that is possible Under 3 at least. I will be off of work during the time of the build so I wont have any cash coming in except for what I get with FMLA for being out for medical. It isnt really supposed to be a "balls to the wall" motor. Just something fresh with a bit more cubes and better heads in comparision to where I am. If my old motor did 315 on the ground hoping all the stuff transferd with heads and 6.0 bottom end would do close to 400. Then just spray on top of that....

stock 243's go for around 200 and then a little valve job for another 200 and you have a good set of heads for 400...could even mill them a little to bump the comp ratio even more and still be under 600!

Ive been looking for a set to pop up for awhile. I dont want to join other forums to find it haha. And around here it dont work like that. I found a MOTOR builder that will do great deals but the only place around here to *trust* to do a good port/polish valve job and all wanted as much as the Patriots are... For just doing my heads. I laughed and hung up the phone. I dont see paying some jerk off a grand to do work to heads when I can buy the patriots for the same price. And it isnt like that company is known world wide for their work. They are just the only people KNOWN in the area.

if you are buying the block from bishops then buy a set of heads from them also...they sell them there to. I keep hearing from people that patriot heads are very over rated and really dont flow that great...just what i have heard
