ok, chances are i'm about to have to get rid of my truck and get something else. so my question to you guys is, what should i get?

ive decided if i cant be big and fancy, i might as well go fast. so im pretty set on a RCSB. i like the more rounded body style, so 03 or older chevy or 06 or older gmc.

id like to get a 5.3, obviously, but would be alright with a 4.8. none of that V6 crap!!!

the lower the miles the better, id like to keep it below 100,000 if possible...

so i guess all that is pretty obvious, haha

and id like for it to be all stock, or minor mods only. i want to have my own project and make it exactly what i want, not what someone else wanted...

now the fun part, its gota be CHEAP! ill have $6000 to spend tops.

ive been looking all over and its pretty hard to find a good deal like im looking for. everything is either V6 or long bed....

if you guys have any suggestions, speak up! and if you could keep your eyes open id appreciate it. if the perfect deal comes up i might be able to figure out a way to get something sooner rather than later...

i know this post seems kinda worthless since i already know more or less what i want, but im just trying to start looking in plenty of time before i dont have my denali anymore so i can find the perfect truck for me!

hmm. if i wasnt boosting mine i would sell it to you for 6k... but i will keep an eye out for you a truck... Someone said they seen a 4x4 for 6k. arrival blue not sure if you want 2wd?

I know you can find a RC with high miles for CLOSE to that price. But yeah make sure you get a v8 so your not double working trying to get the v6 out

you could get a longbed and chop the frame down and then just trade a junkyard your bed for a short bed

My 90,xxx mile motor still has the cross-hatches on it. I don't think that should be a concern.

Trans will give out before the motor, so that would be where I would concentrate.

Eh that's more work then just swapping a v6 in with a v8.

Maybe buying a V6 truck an doing a swap would be the cheaper way to go, a lot more V6 RCSB's out there, it would give you a better choice of trucks.
