    Aquarium Horror Story

Got good horror story for you.

Been messing with fresh new aquarium set-up, started filling with water for first time last night.
so had turn on tap water feed for first time in a while. All worked good no problems.

Wake up this morning about 6am take a piss, shuffling back to bed and hear this splashing noise ........
hmmm did I leave a faucet on ???

OH CRAP !!!! the tube coming thru wall for tap water feed had popped off and
I have an open faucet dumping water into the den for who knows how long .....

Water EVERYWHERE ...... get it cleaned up, thanking god for no carpet in there and that its "not too bad"

walk outside to throw away towels and half my front yard is flooded out and a small stream
heading down the street ....... YIKES.

Luckily (i guess) the wall where leak was backs up to garge and most of the water had been running under the wall
and out the garage, or who knows how much water would have been standing in my living room.

Must have been running half the night
Dont know whether to laugh or sit down and cry or start breaking shyt with a bat.

    Nice, eh ?

Havent ever done saltwater. Cool reef tank might be nice ....... someday.

Really enjoyed the Dart Frogs. Been keeping them for 10+years
but they are a lot of work and expensive to keep fed in live crickets.

Old terrarium set-up of same tank I had with the frogs.

I used to have some oscars.....i think thats what they were...lol.Anyway..they got big! and they would jump out of the water for food.I could dangle some shrimp about a 8 inches above the top and they would jump up and take it from my hand.I loved those fish and my 2nd ex killed em....BEEEOTCH!

Homeowners insurance should cover the damage. If there was any. Sorry about your problems.
