Good news...
Well I think I might be picking an LS1 up in houston tommorow to throw in my truck and it already had a 224/228 cam prods and springs in it. An 01 with 70k Miles. Im figuring its gonna be an easy swap but just wanted to ask yall what else would I need?
I figured I would need a new oil pump just to be safe and get a new LS6 one from the dealer. I would be running the stock truck intake manifold for the time being till I can get an LS6 one or somethin later. Do all the accessories from the 4.8 bolt right on or do I need new brackets or anything? Obviously Im going to need a tune. What about injectors? or would they stay the same due to the truck intake manifold setup?
And Yes I know my current trannys screwed and my gears are probably on thin ice. So Im not going to be able to have fun with it until my built trannys in and re-geared lol
Which wont be long though of course.
But mainly Im just asking for swap advice and a list of other things that would be needed!
