All I am saying is it is easier to make a 10 sec LSX than a 10 sec Hemi because the road has been payved already.
The components in the Hemi are newer and their is not as much aftermarket support. Two years ago if you tried to buy a forged crank, pistons, or rods you could not do so as nobody made them. Even the little things like bearings, ARP studs and head gaskets were no where to be found. Now they more available but a lot more expensive. Next they started breaking trannies, axles and diffs. Then they ran into fuel issues then finally the brick wall as their was no tuning. So when people compare the Hemi to the LSX it is like apples to oranges right now. You can't just say "Oh a built engine/tranny in a LSX would be in the 10's easily especially with 40K" because the Hemi is still in its infancy.
Do you not agree with me that a person with a Camaro or a TBSS can pick up the phone and call TSP and order a 427 then call Finishline and order a 4L80 and have them delivered by the end of the week to Nelson for install and tuning plus a Trick turbo and/or nitrous and have it dialed in for a 10 sec run. Is this not possible!
I am not taking anything away from the LSX in fact there are new avenues being used even now. I love how Flaco is able to do a new setup and run 9's and maybe 8's later with better suspension and more juice. But I also have to give credit to the Hemi cummunity for what they have done so far with what they have and not just saying "Oh well they should be runing better than that".
BTW, not everyone can do it as some don;t have the DIY no how and/or the $$$ to do it.
