    Gears...

    I been thinkin about it and i'm pretty much gonna go through with it anyways but, how much with swappin to some 4.10s from 3.42s cut my gas mileage??

    how much u drive on the hwy?

    i went from 3.42 to 3.90 and it wasnt much of a difference in mpg

    but gets off the line much better now

    You should not see a big difference. Some say you get a little better MPG because engine is in a better spot on the powerband. I wouldnt worry about it much though.

    run it every day. 34 miles to work and 34 miles back home. i'll prolly get a one of those hydrogen kits in the near future anyways. maybe that'll bump it back up if i lose very much

    motive or richmond gears?? what do you suggest?

    Comes with install kit, or look at his other auctions for just the gears for $119

    thats really cheap i would be a lil concerned where they are made at. Might be Chinese knock off there Jeff. Both Richmond and Motive make great gears that will last forever

    i had 3.42's and went to 4.10's. love the extra torque, but wrecked my gas mileage.
    02' silverado ext. cb 2wd , 5.3 liter 325c.i. LM7, ported and polished throttlebody with bypass, Jannetty Racing 87 octane dyno tune, cold air intake with custom ram air, Heavy duty built 4l60e with vette servo, Z-pac clutches, "The Beast" Sunshell, transgo shift kit, yukon 4.10 gears with true trac, custom exhaust with Moroso Spiralflow, no cats, MSD 8.5 race wires, NGK TR55's

    They are made there in house I believe. Allot of people have used rons. I havent heard anything bad about them yet.

    I run a 4.10 in mine and i am averagein over 20 mpg running between 75 and 80.
