So I should be ordering my pacesetter longtubes and ORY pretty soon. I am thinking of buying a magnaflow turbo XL 3" in/out 7" round muffler to compliment this. Its going to come out of the ORY, and go RIGHT past the cab and be dumped. Anyone think this is giong to sound good/bad? Will I get alot of "pinging" in the exhaust or no?

Also, I am looking at getting an electric cutout... or should I just buy a manual cutout for it instead?

    any advice/opinions would be great

An electric cut out would be so much more fun. Flip the switch and let it roar. There's something to be said for that.

I have mine dumped by the rear axle. Not sure if you'll get any resonance with it that close to the cab. I get some with mine and mine is back further. Two cents...

Hes doing a 5.3L swap. He already has the motor .

On the other hand, I have manual cutouts on mine, sometimes I wish I had electric but i paind like 1/5 or wha electric are. And I only use them at the track, but if I had electric I would most likely use them all the time!

I have an electric cut out and it is great. I had the cut out placed just after the y and had the dump facing to the passenger side downward at a 45 degree angle. The resonance is about the same has having dumps. But with this, you can hit the button and it shuts up. It is extremely nice to have. It beats crawling under your truck (especially if you have a drop) and cuts down on burnt finger tips.... If you get an electric setup, go on Ebay and visit RaceReady Performance. Their units cost a little but more, but they are the only ones who give you a lifetime warranty on parts. Well worth the modest price jump.

I've talked to the guy with Badlandz (used to be linked to on Allens website - don't see it anymore) - he had a pretty nice setup but not sure if he's still around.
