what can i do to make sure this guy doesnt run me down, i looked up the curb weight and we are really damn close but he has quite a bit more hp on me but not too much more torque. or should i just not even think of racing him unless im in my sub? i have nothing but flowmaster exhaust and drop in k&n filter. i am definitly getting a nelson tune probably within a few weeks but i don't know if that will still be enough. he is bone stock and spins off the line, which i never do especially if i just hit my little 4wd button, he is 2wd and open rear, on cheapy street tires. so what do you think, should i just leave the full size trucks to my more than full size suv?

That wouold be a close one---that 4.3 is a decent motor an can move that Blazer pretty well. A 4.8L RCLB stock shouldn't run you if you have exhaust, K&N, and a tune. You should be able to take him, but not by much. You might consider a little CAI and a TB...

He'll take you. I have a 4.8 ECRB and I'll pull a blaze all day, even before my minor mods and without nos. The 4.8 is underestimated. With my programmer I can hang with the stock 03 04 SS's
