where are these adjustments at? i dont see anyway to adjust the cable itself and dont see a simple way to move the bracket?

I had to use the 60e arm on mine. There are adjustments on the cable plus you can also move the mounting bracket on the transmission by bending it.
here is what i ended up doing to my linkage to make it work
i used the old lingake from the 4l60e and flipped it around, cut a notch and bent it some more then had a buddy weld it for me, and it works perfectly even drove it around some yesterday :D

I used a lokar linkage on my c/10 for the 4l80e , works great .

yes indeed this is a nice write up and to add to this you can order beefier transmissions from a company out of Florida called PRO POWER TRANSMISSIONS WHETHER NEW OR REBUILT FOR LESS...IN MY 97 CHEVY SUBURBAN I UPGRADED TO A 4L65E FOR $1500 NEW WITH A PERFORMANCE KIT INSTALLED.
I have a 1993 GMC K 1500 Suburban that currently has the 4L60E transmission in it and I want to swap it with a 97 K 2500 4 L 80 e transmission. What all do I need for this?
