F/S: 500hp combo, STS kit, FMIC, forged 348

That's right. It's all for sale. Time to change it up a bit. Going n/a 408 or 427 (maybe a lil' juice too)!

Forged 348 short block only-no heads(5.3 iron block bored to 5.7 specs, balanced/polished stock crank), forged "diamond" -8.6cc boost pistons, eagle H-beam forgedrods, ARP bolts.

STS kit for 5.3 chevy p/u. Upgraded Precision PT74 turbo. Custom FMIC for trucks by TRT (Billy) brand new since the old one was stolen.

Snow perf meth injection kit

Turbonetics boost controller

Autometer boost gauge.

This combo took my 5250lb truck into the 12's. horsepower estimates 500+RWHP.

I want $4500 for the whole set-up. Will separate if requested.

how much for just the turbo kit?

No Greg, its going in the old truck. We will finish tuning the 5.3 just for dyno numbers and maybe at least take it to the track once. Then, the forged motor, intercooler, meth, turbo, and maybe a 2 step if it doesnt fall through will all be installed. If it went 12.9 in a 5300lb truck, it should be awsome in one thats 3900lb.
I&#39;m sure I&#39;ll be going through the 4L65 soon. :bash:
Not sure how much boost Brandon was running, but we will start at around 10psi.
One thing different is that I&#39;ll put the turbo in the bed

hell, the hard part is done. It wont be anything to pull the motor now.
I&#39;m just thinking about fitting the intercooler. Not much room in the grill, so I may move the radiator back to fit the intercooler.
I have to say, I&#39;m excited about this one. My goal is 7.0 in the 1/8. If he went 8.2, 7&#39;s are easy. I&#39;m just going to tweak it until I get there.

Part of the deal with Brandon, but getting another one is just a phone call away. I&#39;m heading down in another 2 weeks to pick up a low comp. 408. I could have another ready.

Keep us updated on the 408 in the CC, I want to see what kind of fuel mileage you get with it. Our little 4.8 CC needs the point removed and a 0 put back in it&#39;s place. I think she might suspect something since my shop is my two car garage. :whack: I guess she won&#39;t take any long trips away from the house( and the truck)without me for a while without the fear of coming home to a 4.8L engine sitting on the engine stand in the garage when she gets home. :laugh:


Can you imagine the surprise though when the aluminum 5.7L LS1 with LS6 heads breaks the tires loose from the stop sign&#33; I think the gig would be up then. I could paint the block black so that it looks like the steel block.

I think Billy (TRTturbo) had to buy it just because hes getting a little scared about my twin turbo 408 w/ stage III heads. We got my long block together yesterday and today he buys a turbo set up and motor??? :duh: :duh: :laugh: :laugh:

I just really like the turbo and saw this chance to get a good set up.
