Throwing this out in advance

Went down to TempleAcademy Raceway last friday, and It was actually a nice track with a huge amount of cars. This is the deal, Friday January 26th. There is a Truck Shootout. It works like bracket racing, it goes by reaction time, you run some test runs get your ET's and then The slower car gets to leave first. 1st place gets $100 and 2nd gets $50. Would anyone be interested in going? Im going, im guessing there will prob be 40-50 trucks there, after seeing the import turnout for the import shootout.

how much is it?? it sounds like it could be fun... i may just come out and watch

I believe that it doesnt cost anything extra. Thats way the payout isnt that much. I will call and verify today.

hell come by waco and pick me up, i&#39;d love to go&#33; I&#39;d have my money on a certain bowtie with 4 doors... it&#39;s pewter(the best color) and makes 14 second runs seem slow. Brandon are u going to do this? :rock:

what is the cost to get in?? i dont remember what ytou said it was to get in.... i dont know if i will be coming down that weekend or the next...

First one to the finish line wins. He wouldnt pass me if I won. He rana 12.8? so i would leave 1.6 seconds before him, and he would have to have the perfect launch so spinning. Its a handicap. But they pair people that are close together in time.

Then maybe I should go. I would have a sick ass handicap. MY 16.5 against peoples like 12? I&#39;d do it... But then everyone would hate me if I won.

You would get people to panick. Maybe red light maybe spin on the launch. I know if I say you leave 4 seconds before me i would be really anxious for my side of the tree to drop.

I dont even spin off the line so I wonder if I could cut a perfect 16.5 every time? :duh:

I know when my truck was stock. My times were all really close. I dont have much traction issues either. Thats why I am doing it.

At the local 1/8 strip there is an old lincoln that has a shit load of stickers from all the brackets he has won.He runs 13s in the 1/8 but they are very consistent,its funny when u see him go against 7.5 second cars and he wins&#33;

EDIT0- is this track a 1/4? If so i will try to make it, how far is it from dallas?

1.5 hours or so away from us... i-20 to southbound 35 all the way there

Yes its a 1/4 it is a fairly nice track too.

im in if other people from here want to convoy...... just keep it under 120 is all i ask

Its about 30 mins past waco. Im not sure if they would consider a TBSS a truck. I can call and find out.

Remember the handicapped has the advantage of running to the end and then hitting the brakes trying to pull the faster vehicle to breaking out. If the first one to breaks out he looses also. So hauls ass to the end and then hit the brakes at the line.... :burnout: :doh:

i cant find a harness or i might would make my first runs then. tomorrow the transmission is coming out and heading to garland. I may just wait till i get my locker in a month or so to make my first run. :sad:

IM really not sure. Its the first time ive seen it done, but I havent been paying attention to this track for to long. My buddy Kyle, the one you were talking to at the San Marcos meet with the bike plans on running it there on friday.
