hey i installed the corvette servo in my truck and dam im amazed with the shift points.i installed it friday night sorry for the lateness.but when i was crusing on friday night in my hometown there are some smooth roads where i live.so i got to a red light in a smooth road i took off half throttle and in 35mph the tires chirp i was like dam this was the best 15 buck on a part :devil:
glad to here that you put one in. :thumb: it makes a bit more fun to drive :smile:
Now get the truck tuned to better utilize the servo and you will be twice as happy! :thumb:

Where can you get corvette servos and how hard is it to install?
sounds nice, but i though tthey were kind of hard to install. im not an expert, so idk id prob break some shit and end up spending like 1000 to fix what i messed up haha. glad to hear u got rs going tho, congrats! :thumb:

Where can you get them?
Also is the installation the same on a 4wd as it is on a 2wd. That article I believe talked about a 2wd. I went to the link the article suggested, but I cant find corvette servos for a 65e or 60e. Just billet servos. Would the 60e and 65e be the same?
You can buy them directly from the dealer or any transmission supply parts company. Just be forewarned that if you do not get it installed and seated properly you can crack the transmission housing, causing a huge leak and replacement of the housing. Be sure you get the snap ring installed in the transmission case properly before you start the engine and place it in drive. If you are not too sure of your abilities it is best to have a shop install the parts for you for a minimal charge, should be less than $100 IMO.

Luckily i had jethro help me with mine, and he has done it before so i had no problems with mine. I guess just follow the instructions.

That sure looks like it. I'd have to dig my old one out of the parts box to compare it but they say it is. Be sure you email the seller and verify that is the correct one for your application before you buy it, just to cover your arse.

I agree on the fact that they're needed. I've just had the misfortune of always installing mine while the tranny was on the shelf being built. I went full billets on mine after having the vette servo. This thing is strong and has taken hundreds of track passes with no sign of degradation. Now that I have 4.10s, maybe I'll see a 4th gear shift sometime on the 1/4 mile passes to see how they hold up. With the higher shift points though I doubt I'll find out anytime soon.
Well I have a car Lift that would raise the truck as high as you want and the tools. So it would be easy to get under the truck. I would pay the gas for someone to do it. I called some local shops and Im getting 90-120 for an install. Any takers let me know.

Suggest you get it done a the same time you get the cam installed. It really is easy, I just tortured Ducky so he could say he did it... almost all of it. :cool:
I moved my tranny to the side, don't know if you can do that with the transfer case. :duh: I might be availible Sunday if I am not working and the roads are not to bad..... :burnout:

well since i work in a trans shop here in the rgv.the owner of the shop helped me with the installation.but i need to change my trans oil.so i got a freebie on the installation
