I made it to the track this past weekend and was pretty happy with the results. I met up with dave(quicksilverado) and dusty on saturday at commerce. It took me a couple times to learn how to launch with the turbo but I still couldn't build any boost off the line. I could only manage a 2.2sec. 60'. I tested the boost the day before and could only run 13psi because I ran out of fuel pump but it still pulled pretty hard. So all runs where at 13 psi. My best time was 12.06@121. That mph is an easy 11 sec run with a beter 60' because that run was a 2.2sec 60'. Thats ok though because I just ordered my 2-step from Snergy. dude that is sweet and definitely a sleeper. If I was rolling around in the vette I would not even consider you competition, but that would be a big mistake for me :doh:

:thumb: on the truck man! Get a line lock and or bigger stall and you should be able to get those RPMs up some more before leaving the line. With a 1.6 or so 60ft you will be low 11s!!!!

:imwstupid: What size stall are you running and what gears? Get that 60ft. down and you will be mid to low 11's easy.

Yeah I can only build 0 vac. but as soon as I get the 2-step next week I should be able to build 3-5 psi. Traction isn't really an problem because Im using ET streets. I have a 3000 stall in the 4l80e and 3.73 gear. Im going to put two of the walbro fuel pumps in the tank soon so I can run more than the 13 psi. Its getting there and I just cant wait for it to all come together. :smile:

id love to run twins on my 6.0 :drool: that 60 foot is bad, but o well ur still SOOOOOOO fast man. like u said those ET's will help too. do u have caltracs?

I need to buy a set of caltracs but it doesnt have a traction problem. I guess pretty much its running on
8.4-1 CR and intill the boost comes in it just doesnt have any power. Im going to turn the boost up to 20 psi as soon as I can get enough fuel to it.

what all do u have thats forged? wow 20 psi? whats the max they will push?

Mahle forged pistons -16cc
Compstar forged H-beam rods
Stock crank
ARP everything
72cc AllPro Heads so I dont blow head gaskets
Head studs with cometic head gaskets

I think you will be able to get a bit more than 3psi out of the two step. On a friends car it was the diff between 5ish psi and 13 on teh trans brake. Good luck man, wiht any traction and power out of the holw your rear end is oging to be toast.

BTW congrats on the new time! I was just thinking when I said traction issues, before turbo with a 3800 stall I could blow my slicks off at the track with ease. It is cool that you can get enough with a 3000 stall. I'm still trying to decide if I want another stall and what size. Anyway good time and I'm sure more to come.

The rear has a true trak locker with stock gears. I pulled a 1.8sec 60' with the whipple on a stock stall but 2.2 with the turbo and 3000 stall. :bash: Thats ok it mades up for it when the turbos kick in. lol

Turbos are the only way to go... I think so anyway :drool: The though the whipple was fast but the turbo is scary fast. :eek:

Been there, done that! It's not got me worried though. I will do it right next time. No more pieced together systems. I didn't realize that when you buy a complete system that they don't sell you everything you really need to run safely. Mine needed a bottle heater, fuel pressure safety switch, bottle gauge, RPM window switch and a few more little odds and ends. Now I find out that I need a fuel pump just for the Nitrous feed because the Walbro pump will only supply enough fuel for about 550 HP. If the engine is already making 450 at the crank, that only leaves enough fuel supply for a 100 shot and that's pushing it.
