I went lookin for a Z71 crewcab today and came back with an Avalanche. I didnt even think I was going to buy until I came across this deal. '04 Z66 Avalanche w/5.3L, 3.73 gears and 43k miles for 21k. I took the intake off my truck and put in on the Ave and already leaned out the AFR and taken out TM. Gotta wait till I run this tank down and 93 octane goes in and the tuning begins! This thing also kicks the hell out of my truck for gas mileage! I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow night or Friday.

Haha, well the turbo will wait, I had to use the 4k down to get my payments where I wanted them. But, a cam isnt far down the road, Allen said he has one in mind :lol:

Ahh! You did what was best. Good for you. We need pics. I had a neighbor that just sold one for pennies. I was mad as hell b/c I wanted it. I think it was the first year of the Ave. Black with grey interior just like the truck I have now. Oh well better luck next time for me.

itd prob be considered a car, simply because its unibody, but then ud have to consider the SUV a car. i guess itd far into the SUT sector but idk i would not call it a truck unless u wanna consider the honda ridgeline among the truck brotherhood and im not for that. :thumbdown:

I thought the Avalanche was built on the same frame/chassis as the Suburban?

I was under the belief that a Uni-Body had the frame AND the body all in one piece to the firewall....... :duh:

Avalanche ====>>>> Frame, & one big body. :nutz:

'62 Nova ====>>> No Frame, and one peice of body to the firewall. :nono:

Yeah when I crawled up under it today I was pretty sure I saw a frame lol. Its a TRUV, part truck/part SUV. Its like a tahoe and a silverado got it on or something and made the Avalanche. Think of it that way :lol:
