I found out yesterday that my mother has colon cancer. This was a huge shock to me. I just lost my grandmother a year a ago to lung cancer. So its just like round 2. Its sad because she is only 47 and I have a 13 year old brother, I can imagine how hard this is for him. My mom says "if i'm supposed to die I will and I will be in heaven." Im glad she is so optomistic about it but it doesnt make it any easier. Please pray. thank you all.

sorry to hear that man.. be sure and tell her you love her, often. as much as it may hurt you inside, you should try and be her strong link to hope.

Keep up with her optimisim, it can only help. I will pray and keep good faith :hshake: . I would advise keeping good spirits and all things do happen for the better, no matter what, like she said if it's supposed to happen it will happen. Hang in there man, it's obvious that people care.

Thank you so much to all of you it means so much. She is getting bloodwork and cat scan right now.
We just had a dear friend pass on due to cancer not yet a week ago. She was extremely young (early 30's). Here little ones are still children. God's love knows know bounds and when we hurt, He's right there.
We take much for granted until we think we see the end presenting itself here on earth. You have my family's prayers (practically half a football team - lol). She's strong...YOU be strong for her and your lil bro'... feel the strength God gives to us all.
He brings us all through this life and into the next and our hopes are her time is not soon. Our prayers are that if it is, she be wrapped in a heavenly garment and lifted up on high as she's greeted with open arms by the ones who have passed before.
If you let your heart and soul listen, you'll feel the love she has for you and feel God's strength who brought her and you into this world.
God made a better place for us than just this earth and there's no denying His presence. Its kind of nice to think of our passing from here as He's bringing us out of a world which man does his best to destroy, into a home.....one at a time.

Prayers are with you here also bro! My mother-in-law has lung cancer and there's not much more they can do for her and I lost one of my Scottish Terriers to Lympho Sarcoma recently. Life is going great and then all of the sudden you get punched with something so uncontrolable. Hang in there and don't hesitate to ask for someone to talk to. We're here for you.

OK well the news from the doctor is in... It IS cancer. It has not spread, and with radiation and then surgury it should be taken care of. Thanks to everyone who has posted. please continue praying for her. Radiation starts next week.
hang in there. with the technology they have these days im sure they will be able to defeat it.
That which we do not understand is what we fear the most. Also what we have no control over frustrates us even more.
Accept what God gives you as we have been given a very small window to see what is instore for us in the future.
There are many friends here for you when you ever have a need, any need. Also be there at any chance for your mother, it is the least she has done for you in your time here with her. :hshake:
