your right bro, I wasnt trying to start anything anyway. i just believe in telling people about the business' that help you out and make your truck run great. I cant believe how people react on some of these topics. But i cant stand when your asked a question and one guy cant give a legitimite answer, they just start spitting B.S. :bs:

Yeah thats a pissing match.
oh....i got ya!!! seen it but didnt think anything about it....a mute point....
Too Funny! I'm sure there are enought tuners out there for everyone! I like mine and don't care if others do! I know you all do though!
I know Nelsons the best so that's who I recommend to everyone. The only reason I bought HPTuners is so I can learn how to tune myself and if I have any problems I can call Allen. I've learned alot from HPTuners and it hasn't been as easy as plugging in a power programmer. I got my A/C problem fixed today and while I was troubleshooting I called some of the experts around here and you'd be surprised by the answers I got. I've talked with Allen on the phone in the past and he was willing to provide more information about the LS1 swap than anyone else. Anywasys, my point is you get what you pay for and who you buy from. I can see where $500.00 isn't shit for a tune from my own learning experience. JMHO and my :twocents:
i cant see how 500 bucks is alot of money, especially when NO other mod gives u the bang for the buck of a custom tune. put this in perspective... say u have an engine that is worth a couple thousand dollars, 100 people r telling u to spend a little more, and get what ur moneys worth outta the engine. anyone who would say "id rather have the 150 dollar tune" is crazy, and i know where my tune will come from, Allen Nelson. I dont have a tune from him yet, but when uve got all these people vouching for him, and unlimited re-tunes, why wouldnt u spend a lil more for a lot more power! idiots will be idiots tho. :bash:

It boils down to someone who has nearly a stock engine which Jesse will tune on the cheap vs. someone who has $10,000-$20,000 in an engine who needs a serious tune. Jesse will not tune a blown engine. He has turned several people down in our truck club. When you get a "Big Boy" toy you need a "Big Boy" tuner. Allen is the man......
how old is jesse and how long has he been in the tuning buisness anyway?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(FlaBouy @ Aug 7 2006, 06:33 AM) </div>:imwstupid: That hit the nail on the head...right there. Before I got serious with the truck, I had a W4M tune. It was a noticable improvement in performance. Deal was, when I started thinking about the turbo and called Jese, it was no biskit! :grr: 'Can't/won't tune a 5.3 for a turbo.'Quote:

No I have a few memebers that want me to download their tunes and look at them, but my work schedule right now ( 70-80 hrs/6 days) keeps me away from GTG's right now.....
Send them on, I will take a peek at them.......BTW...send the matching logs...that should be a hoot...
Email them to rickmess@knology.net

I have HPtuners now but it is a .cal file, can you convert it?
When I decided to hoop up my trucks, saw a lot of info around.
I knew that HP tuners was the way to go. I bought it, but in 2 weeks all I could do was get a crappy Idle.
Then one user on LS1tech told me about Nelson. I was hatting my truck at that point. then on CHP I read a tune for a SS truck. PCM for lees did the live tuning and NELSON did a mail tuning. For my surprise, NELSON was 1/10th up on the 1/4 mile than the live tuning.
That Speaks TONS about an expert. Since then I had like 14 tunes from NELSON and keep on going for more, cause in every tune the truck keep getting better and better, just email tunes that is.
