Well, if anyone around n.texas gets a wild hair tonight I will be out at Denton Dragway. If you've never been there, it's north of the I35 merge about 5 miles. Exit after the loves fuel stop and follow the service road, it will u-turn and the track is on the west side of the interstate. The racing goes on until 1a.m.

i'll was representin' up here at dragway 42 tonight, although not as well as i would have liked!
It's an 1/8 mile track. There were some King of the Hill cars there tonight running 4.6 1/8 mile times. Those things are hella-scary!
Best time of the night was a 9.22, laying off the NOS for a while. :whack:

Nope, can't break any parts for a couple months. I've spent my allowance and I'm running out of spare parts to sell to raise money. :laugh:
I can't remember what your previous best was off the bottle. Sounds like those new heads helped out quite a bit though. :thumb:
Yeah, it was like a 9.68 or so. Still, the old truck was faster. I guess it's time for the 4.10s or maybe even 4.56s since this truck has taller tires.

Yeah, I took it easy and tried different methods to launch the truck on street tires. I am going to hold off on the NOS until I can get me a fuel pressure safety switch, NOS pressure gauge and window switch installed. Maybe then I can get more reliable results.
Damn Red that's almost .5 of a second! Was the air real good down there? We were up in Lawton Ok. racing MX and the air felt great. Sounds like money well spent.
Not too sure of the air quality but it was a pleasant evening. It cooled down about 11:00. Racing until 1a.m. has it's benefits. Don't get me wrong, I had a 9.68 time slip but it was due to smoking the tires off the line. Funny, my best time on street tires, any tires, was with me just rolling onto the throttle, not smashing it to the floor. :nutz:
